The film begins with habitus and method of motion of the flatworm Macrostomum salinum, followed by a general outline of organisation. The method of food intake is demonstrated by feeding with Artemia eggs. In the copulation main emphasis is laid on the method of sperm transfer with alternating anchoring of the cuticular stilet in the female genital tract. The illustration of laying of the eggs is followed by shots of embryonic development stages (spiral quartet cleavage) up to hatching of the young.
