Abstract Schleimpilz. Auf der Grundlage der Pendelströmung wird die Kontraktionsrhythmik im Plasmodium und in einzelnen Adern dargestellt. Die Radialrhythmik einer Ader wird durch Infrarotreflexion, tensiometrisch und photometrisch gemessen, die Longitudinalrhythmik von Aderstücken tensiometrisch sowohl unter isometrischen als auch unter isotonischen Bedingungen. Die sogenannte "Trapez"-Anordnung demonstriert die Synchronisation von Kontraktionsrhythmen in einem Aderstück. Mit Zeitraffung. Vergleiche C 1543.
Plasmodial slime moulds. It is shown how the rhythmic contraction of the cytoplasm in the plasmodium and in individual strands forms the basis for the regular reversal in cytoplasmic streaming. Radial rhythms in a strand are measured by infrared reflection; tensiometry and photometrically; longitudinal rhythms in strand segments are measured tensiometrically under isometric as well as isotonic conditions.
