Abstract
Animation showing the geometry of Submillimetre Wave Instrument (SWI) boresight pointing for ObsID 257 (August 21, 2024), performing a limb scan over the Earth dayside equator using the SWI_MOON_LIMB_SCAN_V1 observation mode. The Earth is represented by the gray circle, with its equator also shown with a solid gray line. The terminator is represented by a dashed black line and the illuminated limb by a solid red line. The South Pole is at the top and is indicated with an "S". Pointed positions with representative beam size are depicted by the blue dashed circles for each integration. Corresponding time and distance to the Earth are given at the top. For each pointed position, the corresponding spectra observed with the Chirp Transform Spectrometers (CTS1 and CTS2) in the 600 GHz and 1200 GHz bands are displayed in the right panels. Frequency units are given on the Intermediate Frequency (IF) scale in MHz. The intensity scale is in arbitrary units.
