The UbuntuNet Alliance, the regional research and education network serving Eastern and Southern Africa, has developed a comprehensive open science ecosystem that demonstrates how regional infrastructure can effectively support scholarly communication in the Global South. Our integrated approach combines foundational cloud infrastructure, repository services, and systematic capacity building to address the unique challenges facing African researchers and institutions.
