Penpot will be launched shortly before FOSDEM takes place, for a reason. Three years ago we presented our vision to the audience and we promised we would build a design & prototyping platform that was all about open standards (SVG, HTML, CSS) and open source, but also about collaboration between designers and developers at the design process level. We wanted to make FOSDEM 2023 the community event at which we demoed Penpot "GA", what it brings, why it matters, and what's next. We are extremely excited to share the good news with the open source design community! 2022 has been a breaking year for us. We moved out from Alpha into Beta, enjoyed a ton of love from the community (libraries, templates, features, translations, tutorials) and we have kept adding features and making sure we are actively listening to users.
