An essential component of a comprehensive hydraulic engineering system analysis is the availability of high-quality measurement data. The BAW's technical infrastructure therefore includes extensive equipment for carrying out special investigations in nature. Examples of this are: - Investigations on flow dynamics and suspended matter dynamics in estuaries - Recording of dynamic parameters of ships - Loading of structures on federal waterways The measuring equipment is stored, maintained and prepared for use in the field measuring laboratory of the BAW in Hamburg.
