Abstract
The OSM Colorado team started in 2016 building project documentation and brokering relationships with government agencies to begin importing building footprints (generated from 3” imagery flown by our Regional Planning partners DRCOG) with addresses (from the CO OIT statewide address layer). Along the way we have been gaining momentum through development of our tech tools, and growing our paradigm about defining the concept of “complete” in the world of dynamic data. We’ve also been decreasing momentum with challenges like an overhaul addition of “North” in city street names, cleaning the statewide address layer, merging buildings in ‘high-conflict’ areas, and starting down the road of address validation and identification of units.
