Streams and rivers drives several processes in hydrology, geomorphology, geography and ecology. A hydrographic network that accurately delineates streams and rivers, along with their topographic and topological properties, is needed for environmental applications. Using the MERIT Hydro Digital Elevation Model at 90 m resolution we derived a globally seamless, standardised hydrographic network: “Hydrography90m". The validation demonstrates improved accuracy compared to other datasets.
