Ditrichocorycaeus sp. (Copepoda, Cyclopoida, Corycaeidae), male, body length 900 µm, length of eye 400 µm, Sylt 10.2015. 1:23 min. Corycaeidae are unspecialized raptorial carnivores. They belong to the different copepods with enlarged eyes, function still not clear. These are the relatively biggest eyes of all animals. Video can be used for teaching.
