Abstract
Lanice conchilega ("Polychaeta", Terebellida, Terebellidae), early aulophora II, length 350 µm, Helgoland 08.2014. 1:01 min. The unique development of Lanice conchilega leads to an early larva, which settles for shortly at the bottom, then forming a tube and starting a second planktonic life as aulophora with three stages. The transparent tube, open at both ends, is often covered by mud and small particles. Video can be used for teaching.
