April 2020 has marked the beginning of difficult times, including higher education around the globe. Pivoting online had to happen overnight on many levels. While priorities were set to enable access to all students enrolled, for those forced to return in their home countries, amendments had to be taken care of quickly. Ranging from legal aspects to new exam formats, changes were happening and institutions have begun to witness formats that a few months before would have been considered exotic and ideal at the very best. April 2020 has also marked the start of the project liveScience3! For this project, The University of Göttingen, together with its international partner universities in Chile, Costa Rica, France, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, designed a comprehensive set of interlinked digital measures in order to simplify the Student International Journey through digital services and to enrich it through digitally supported transnational teaching and learning opportunities. Let´s explore the opportunity to rethink international cooperation and innovative formats for student mobility. The Session will briefly give an overview about the goals of liveSciences3 and an insight into milestones on the Student International Journey. In an interactive session, participants will play an adapted version of Jeopardy. Instead of answering the questions, we will attempt to formulate answers, present statements and share some of the most spread myths and misconceptions about student mobility especially in times of a global crisis. The game being about guessing the matching questions, we will use this as an opportunity to gather thought provoking statements and discuss experiences about the topic. |
