This talk gives an overview of how public administrations in the EuropeanUnion are embracing free and open source software solutions The presentation will present high-level actions that can be taken by publicadministrations and stakeholders to increase their uptake of free and opensource software. The talk outlines the major results of the European Commission's Open SourceObservatory and Repository (OSOR.eu) project. The OSOR project aggregates newsand studies on European public administrations that jointly develop, share andre-use such software solutions.
