Abstract

German	German Ein Fellache trennt Fiedern und Stiele von Dattelpalmenwedeln. Eine Frau flicht die Fiedern zu einem langen, ca. 6 cm breiten Band und stellt daraus durch spiraliges Wickeln und Vernähen mit Fiedern einen etwa 50 cm hohen Korb her.
English	English The film shows a native cutting leaves from a date-palm and carrying them to his mud-hut. Here he pulls the pinnules from the central veins of the palm-leaves. A native-woman plaits the pinnules into a hand's breadth wide strip, which she then sews into a bucket-shaped basket.
