English | English A simple procedure for testing the stage reached in motor coordination is demonstrated in healthy children and children with brain damage sustained in early childhood. This method reveals even discrete errors, particulary in children with only slight brain damage. The procedure is simple and quick, and as it requires no special apparatus any general practitioner can use it. The film also indicates what general supervision of the subject is possible and necessary during the examination. It shows how these apparently slight neurologic impairments still often go unrecognized, and the signs of them that are noticed are all too often put down to contrariness in the children affected, instead of inability. |
