Ceremony of consecration of the ground according to Lamaistic rites by monks of the Gelugpa sect: A coordinate system is measured and drawn out on a platform. Inside this the figur of a god is then drawn. A small rectangle is measured out on the ground and earth removed from it. This is scattered over the whole circumference of the future building. Finally, a sacrifice of urns containing oblation is buried in a pit next to the platform.
