The awareness of the importance of reproducible research and open science has grown in the research community. Funding agencies, universities and research institutes are embracing new guidelines and policies, while national initiatives such as NFDI's create a national framework for sustainable data infrastructures. However, the effective integration of these practices at the individual researcher level remains a challenge. In this context, our regional network ORDS-MV (Open Reproducible Data Science and Statistics) is dedicated to advancing these principles within Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. As a grassroots initiative, we want to bundle expertise of researchers across all scientific disciplines. We connect between research groups and we facilitate sustainable collaborations and training in the in the realm of ORDS-MV. We are part of the German Reproducibility Network (GRN) and within Datenkompass-MV (DKMV) we are currently actively involved in preparing a Landesinitiative für das Forschungsdatenmanagement (FDM) in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
