Abstract
Natasha Simons, Stacey Lee and Sam Searle have worked on a range of activities at Griffith University, with the goal of fostering a culture of data citation. This work has included - investigating the ability to measure data citations in publications through the use of bibliometrics (e.g. the Data Citation Index from Thomson Reuters) - exploring less traditional ways of measuring impact such as ImpactStory - working with subject librarians to plan information resources and engagement strategies for researchers - working with infrastructure providers to develop tools and workflows - developing a policy framework for the minting and management of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for data. In this webinar session, Natasha, Stacey and Sam reflect on what has worked well at Griffith and suggest ways in which other institutions could adopt similar strategies.
