Introduction into the CalDAV protocol and related protocols. Overview on OpenSource CalDAV clients and servers, and on libraries for CalDAV development. Attempt to motivate people to implement IETF standard protocols instead of proprietrary ones. CalDAV is a calendaring and scheduling client/server protocol designed to allow users to access calendar data on a server, and to schedule meetings with other users on that server or other servers. FOSDEM (Free and Open Source Development European Meeting) is a European event centered around Free and Open Source software development. It is aimed at developers and all interested in the Free and Open Source news in the world. Its goals are to enable developers to meet and to promote the awareness and use of free and open source software.
