Das erste und bedeutendste der alljährlichen Totengedenkfeste im Königreich Oku ist die vom Palast veranstaltete Zeremonie. Das Fest beginnt mit dem Teil, den die Geheimgesellschaft Kwifon bestreitet. Zunächst veranstaltet Kwifon in ihrem Gehöft eine geheime Zeremonie, die "Musik von Kwifon". Dabei werden die geheimen Musikinstrumente gespielt und Mabuh, die Läufermaske von Kwifon, tritt auf.

The first and most important of the annual feasts in Oku commemorating the deceased is the ceremony organized by the Royal Palace. It starts with the activities of the secret society Kwifon. In the society's compound on the palace premises Kwifon holds a secret ceremony called "the music of Kwifon". Several secret musical instruments are played and one of Kwifon's masks, Mabuh, appears in the compound.
