Wegen unwegsamen Geländes kann die Halmfrucht vom Brandacker nicht heimgeführt, sondern muß eingetragen werden. Diese als "Korntragen" bezeichnete Tätigkeit hat einen speziellen Ernteschlußbrauch hervorgebracht mit den Brauchelementen Mahl, Tanz und Maske. Den Höhepunkt des festlichen Abends bildet der Auftritt eines Maskentieres ("Habergeiß").

Because of the rugged mountain country the harvested grain cannot be pulled home by carts, but must be carried by man power. This activity is called "Korntragen" ("carrying the grain"). Furthermore, it is accompanied by a peculiar harvest ritual with such specific ceremonial features as common meal, dances and the appearance of masked mythological beings. The culmination of this nocturnal feast is marked by the appearance of the "Habergeiß" (two persons carrying a goats' mask and other elements of this mythological animal).
