The film shows an adult female Goodfellow-tree-kangaroo in an outdoor enclosure and documents its manner of eating. Sitting on a climbing-tree it grasps tightened boughs of Robinia and maple with one or both anterior paws draws them near, tears off or bites off some leaves and is chewing them thorughly. A piece of carrot lying on the ground is seized by the anterior paws and led to the mouth; with its incissors the tree-kangaroo bites small pieces out of the carrot and eats them while sitting upright. The drinking of water may be described as laing-chewing. There are four courses of drinking movements in one second to be registrated.
