Auf der Veranda eines Gebäudes am Zeremonialplatz versammeln sich Würdenträger in Begleitung von Frauen. Der König kommt hinzu. Vor ihnen treten Gruppen von Frauen auf, die, begleitet von Trommel- und Rasselmusik, mehrere Tänze aufführen. Dabei singen die Tänzerinnen und unterstreichen ihren Tanz z. T. durch starke Handgestik.

The film gives an impression of the traditional residence and the ceremonial of the kings of Dahomey shortly before the birth of the Republic. A great part of the film presents the dancing of the women at the royal court, probably in the course of a ceremony in front of the shrine of the royal ancestors.
