Aus Mehl, Salz und Wasser bereitet eine junge Frau Teig für zwei Brote. Die ovalen Fladen werden in einer flachen Tonschüssel über offenem Feuer vorgebacken und zum Bräunen in heiße Asche gelegt.

A young woman prepares in a wooden bowl the dough for two loaves from flour, salt and water. With the addition of more flour one half of the dough is formed into an oval flat cake and baked in a flat clay bowl over the open fire. After being turned several times the bread becomes brown in the hot ash; it is then kept warm until consumption under the wooden bowl. The woman carries out the same process with the second half of the dough which has been kept under clothes until then. At the beginning and end of baking the woman washes her hands; all of the containers are cleaned thoroughly with water.
