Beim Pferd nimmt der Darm den weitaus größten Teil der Bauchhöhle ein. Die anatomische Lage (Situs) des Dickdarms und des Dünndarms wird demonstriert. Besonders herausgestellt werden topographische Beziehungen zu benachbarten Organen und Leitstrukturen für eine Exploration der Leibeshöhle. Die Entnahme (Exenteration) des Darms wird in mehreren Präparationsschritten demonstriert.

In the horse, the intestines occupy the biggest part of the abdominal cavity. The anatomical position of the large and small intestine is demonstrated (situs). Special emphasis is put, firstly, on the topographical relationship of adjacent organs, and, secondly, on anatomical structures which serve as landmarks during the manual exploration of the abdomen. The evisceration (exenteration) is demonstrated in several dissection steps.
