In Anlehnung an das Modell der erlernten Hilflosigkeit von Martin Seligman wird die Entstehung von sozial unsicherem Verhalten bei Kindern der Altersgruppe 8 bis 12 Jahre dargestellt. Ein Verhaltensmodifikationsprogramm für den Aufbau sozial kompetenten Verhaltens wird illustriert (vier Trainingsstunden für einzelne Kinder und beispielhaft zwei Gruppentherapiestunden für eine Kindergruppe von 3 bis 4 Kindern).

According to Seligman's theory of learned helplessness the film shows the genesis of unassertive and withdrawn social behaviour of 8 to 12 years old children. A programme of the modification of behaviour for the development of socially competent behaviour will be illustrated (4 hours of training with the single children and two hours of group for 3 to 4 children).
