German | German In vielen afrikanischen Gesellschaften werden Humor und scherzhafte Beleidigungen gezielt zur Harmonisierung und Stabilisierung zwischenmenschlicher Beziehungen eingesetzt. Diese Tradition der "afrikanischen Scherzbeziehungen" ist eine Form der paradoxen Kommunikation und Tabuverletzung zur Bewältigung sozialer Konflikte. Der Film handelt von Frauen in Senegambia, die keine Kinder bekommen oder sie nach der Geburt verlieren. Sie schließen sich sog. Kanyalang-Organisationen an, die sich über sich selbst und andere lustig machen, ohne dass irgendjemand beleidigt sein darf. Mit Lachen und Humor gewinnen sie für sich und ihre Umgebung Vergnügen und Entspannung und befreien sich langsam von dem psychischen und sozialen Druck, der auf ihnen als kinderlosen Frauen lastet. Viele bekommen schließlich doch noch Kinder, die am Leben bleiben. |
