Florian Wehking, Heinrich Söbke , Mario Wolf "360° Models in Environmental Engineering Education: Virtualizing of a field trip" As 360° models appear as promising learning tool a 360° model was used in order to enable environmental engineering students to gain practical experience in 2020 as well. Designed as a virtual field trip (VFT) through an urban district of the city of Weimar and part of a lecture, students are asked to create a concept for a wastewater infrastructure based on the VFT. The 360° model, its didactical scenario as well as user feedback are presented in this session. Allan Owens, Clive Holtham, Tatiana Chemi "Reshaping higher education: the art of practical wisdom" Presenters from three countries and disparate disciplinary backgrounds have, through their collaboration on an Erasmus project "Beyond Text", developed a framework for how universities should return to their historic interest in education for "practical wisdom". This session will use interactive methods to review how old-normal practices need to be unlearnt, and five non-traditional learning principles set in motion. Caterina Hauser, Nadine Linschinger, Simone Adams "Reaching the 99 %: From Overnight Remote Teaching to Transforming Higher Ed Learning" This session focuses on “instructional designers in action”, sharing experiences in supporting faculty members during the COVID-19 crisis at Austria’s second largest university. We will discuss models to accommodate different levels of “digital fluency” (Briggs & Makice, 2011), aiming to transform makeshift remote teaching into a functioning online ecosystem. Our session will include a multimedia artifact, a poll, and a brainstorming session to develop long-term strategies for online teaching.
