Reconstructions of historic storm tides

We want to visualise historical storm tides that have caused major damages. The animations show examples of very severe storm tides. Particularly in the German Bight with its shallow waters, a storm tide can cause severe damage if there is no coastal protection. Storm tides are caused by the interaction of changes in air pressure, wind speed and high tides. We would like to illustrate this with the help of these videos.
