Computational Uncertainty Quantification (17w5072)
The Banff International Research Station will host the "Computational Uncertainty Quantification" workshop from October 8th to October 13th, 2017. Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery will host a five-day workshop in 2017, during which about forty scientists in mathematics and engineering from ten countries will meet to discuss and advance the theoretical and computational foundations of recent methodologies in uncertainty quantification (UQ). The workshop will bring together both senior and young scientists in computational sciences, numerical analysis, statistics, and engineering and provide an excellent framework for the participants to exchange ideas and identify relevant problems for building theoretically sound and computationally feasible UQ approaches. The organizers hope to foster new ideas and promote new joint projects that would benefit from cross-border synergies and to advance the multidisciplinary field of UQ.
