Eipomek 1986

The Eipomek valley (West Irian, Indonesia) was hit by a heavy earthquake in 1986. Ten years later the life of the Eipos is affected by its consequences and the following missionary work. The Eipo culture basically changed (housing scheme, religion, body decoration and clothes) and partially preserved (house building, field work). The acculturation of the Eipos becomes visible.
