Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently transforming the research landscape. While many people hope for significant benefits, there are also valid concerns. Some authors believe that they can protect their content from being used in AI applications by publishing behind a paywall, i.e. as closed access. This video explains why restrictive licences do not protect author's rights. This video was created as part of the BMFTR-funded project open-access.network.
