| Abstract | Im exkurs-Gespräch fragt Johannes Büchs den #Chemiker Walter Leitner, wie es ihm gelungen ist, aus einem "Abfallprodukt" wie #Kohlenstoffdioxid einen #Rohstoff zu gewinnen. Leitner, Professor an der RWTH Aachen und Direktor am Max-Planck-Institut für chemische Energiekonversion, erklärt, wie CO2 zum Bestandteil fester Materialien werden kann, wie z.B. von Matratzen, Textilien, Dämmmaterial oder Klebstoffen. Dabei spielen auch "chemische Heiratsvermittler", sogenannte Katalysatoren, eine entscheidende Rolle. Was es damit auf sich hat, erklärt Walter Leitner im Video.
