Abstract
This video shows the seasonal variations of glaciers over the Pamir mountain range obtained using satellite imagery. In the map view you can see the velocity anomaly, red means that glaciers are going faster and blue slower than their annual mean. In the lower pnael you can see the velocity along the flowline of the Fedchenko glacier. The glacier flows from left to right and the colors represent the time of the year. This show the seasonal acceleration of the glacier and its upstream propagation. This gives us key information on how glacier respond to change in temperature, and help to better predict their future fate in a warming world.
