Asterias rubens (Echinodermata, Astroida, Forcipulatida, Asteridae), late metamorphosis, diameter 1.6 mm, Helgoland 06.2018. 0:28 min. During the late phase of metamorphosis the remains of the larva disappear more and more and the future starfish body dominates. In this late larva the adhesive arms are still well developed while the starfish body is not yet radial symmetric. Video can be used for teaching.
