Abstract
In this video, the DNA building block chemistry is described with respect to the modification of DNA by chromophores. Photoswitches as chromophores allow photoinduced color changes in DNA. Combination of two different chromophores enable DNA (i) to display strand displacement by fluorescence color changes, e.g. from green to red and vice versa, and (ii) to act as light harvesting systems.
