Abstract
Our groups deals with different methods for chemical surface patterning with a strong emphasis on biological applications. In this video we show you two methods, micro arraying by microchannel cantilever and Dip-Pen Nanolithography with lipids (L-DPN) as an example of techniques used in our group. One of the applications of these surface patterns is the study of immune cell activation by model allergens. Employing surface patterns in this research gives biologists valuable advantages in regard to experimental control and response read-out.
