This video shows the convergence phase of model M4 (conductivity parameterisation, as discussed in the article). Horizontally forced subduction is initiated without prescription of a major weak-zone at one of the passive margins, but switches from the right margin to the left margin and then back again. In consequence, divergent double-slab subduction is stabilised.
