Abstract
This video shows a schematic situation of reinforcement steel in concrete in a beaker. The steel is placed in a Ca(OH)2 solution and a counter electrode is given to measure potential between the steel and the counter electrode is measured. Afterwards, chloride induced corrosion is started and potential drop can be observed." This is part of the Open Educational Resources Initiative by the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the RWTH Aachen University.
