Depending on the force application point, torsion can be induced by shear forces. In particular, if a shear force is applied in the shear center, no torsion is induced at all and hence no twisting of the beam can be observed. On the contrary, if the force is applied to the left (right) of the shear center, the T-beam is twisted anti-clockwise (clock-wise)."
