Each animation frame depicts a 1000-yr model time step. The grid view shows the erosional wave following base level fall that occurred at 0 yrs elapsed time in the animation. The cells coloured blue overlap the stream channel depicted in the longitudinal profile. The upper limit of streams were set by the critical drainage area factor described in the paper. The knickpoint location along the selected profile was updated at each time step following Eq. 6 in the paper. Base level fall was 2.03 m in this trial. The topography of this trial minimally responded to the perturbation. The main divide and stream positions minimally changed.
