The last part of the presentation is that you as users ask questions to us, the community
and the developers and yeah well fire one or more please or say some some
developer who wants to say something first maybe no okay then start with the please yes yes thank you very much so wait somebody will come to you with
the microphone maybe we should use the other microphone for the developers then
no
I can partially answer the question but I think it's better if somebody else yes that's Marco well but after Marco maybe
find founding or developers or people interested in or maybe the users together and pay somebody to actually do that development so we as the core community of QGIS cannot take care of all the plugins but we can obviously
help out but the users also that's what the moment when you should where you can step up and actually try to push and help the plugins that you need yeah there have been also before first in three plugins have been
abandoned but by their original developers and then sometimes people just step in and think okay I can develop such a plot plugin and I go further and then you will be the next maintainer of the plugin so feel free
and the last part was if you are thinking about QGIS for was that the question okay QGIS 2 is still supported let's start with that yes yes you can
download it and use it for as long as you want but we're not putting any more
yeah okay well Python 3 is already a long time around so if we wait as long as we waited for Python 3 it will be a couple of years I think but yeah I
don't know we are not seriously thinking about QGIS for now is it okay
and it will probably mean that we have to hop also yeah okay okay then it's nearer than I thought yes other questions yeah so we cannot look into
the future okay here's a question in that okay it's not it's public but
it's not released publicly so not announced but there is some work for having QGIS in Conda but now it's in Windows if you search for OSG04 that
has already a recipe to create QGIS from from using Conda hopefully to publish it and maybe getting people doing the rest of the recipe for Mac and the rest of the recipe for Linux and it might be the way of installing and
distributing QGIS so it's not that far I think to be honest I don't know what Conda is is the package manager for Python
it opens the door for many many solutions of QGIS without me so it's for me to excite you
okay thanks the repository is already available so it's open you will be able to find it
if there is going to be
I'm using KDA in there I don't know if anybody else is using this and I have a lot of trouble to install QGIS 3
because I think I will need to downgrade some of the QT libraries and I don't want to do that so what I'm doing is I'm running it from a Docker container that somebody created and it's actually quite nice and I was going to ask if there are any plans to include
like the Docker version a curated Docker version for instance in the download section for people that experience these kind of issues oh we can do that actually I think Sutton started the Docker image some time ago I thought it was not working that good with I'm not sure and you said it's working okay with you?
yes but if you want us to do a good one yes no problem
okay recently we added Flatpak I don't know if you have the possibility to run Flatpak as a tool but well with me and Debbie the QGIS Flatpak image is great it's working
and it's already on the download pages but happy to add Docker stuff also okay thank you they were released and mastered and they're published on the Docker hub
okay so we have official Docker images but also to run application or just to test them no server testing server testing server and testing server and testing okay
and is that official Docker images? yes yes oh yeah it's on the Docker hub under QGIS repo and QGIS match
oh please investigate and report back then we do the the best one that we put in the website okay are there questions no okay thanks very much I think we are a little early
