together its makers in order to do in the co-creation process right away done the connection of course in order
to the figure out right away what's needed what could be solutions what ways to do something this emerges then of
course it's not it's not on the 1 hand you have like users and on the other hand you have like ILO peaks and uh maker of people of course that overlap make the people that
we were working with in the big team was like we're like developing they go to the more work wheelchair was like a like a bike frame so to some people I engineers and sit in the wheelchair and
other people make stuff so so this
awesome symbol far for effective in wheelchairs was interested in wheelchairs and we want
to say a quick word about us um before coming to Berlin last year and getting dragged into this project uh I wasn't Singapore and was working on a little bit of similar thing the from the broad context but then the Augmented Human that as a poster could developed with people together the flashlights or they can indications that indication light for people that are summarize and death and so in the remainder on that 1 flashlight on the side so we made like individual lights that are compatible with the timing system and like you could look at them and this was really nice for mutual to work in this direction the the you I hope to
hear things and and of life that as well and to but my professional background is in some industrial design and so I'm working a lot with of facilitating co-creation and this is why I started working together with tenure because he brings in this technical perspective and I brought a little example of a project that has been the running this year this list of my team from and be able and it's uh it I think it describes of these 2 images described pretty well what my work is about it's really about bringing people together that at a table with very different perspectives and so on we have them in a co-creation process in order to change their environment by themselves and it's a lot about integration as well so these 2 images that you see here I am from a project that we've been running a prison or in a forensic clinic where we were developing and tools and concepts for a better integration of patient that today we wanna talk about a different tradition that's
where um the remote regions of the whole thing and then I already gave us an introduction and how we came to this credit abstract title also on bringing together experts and and makers and merging them in order to have and the power of those perspectives and profit from each other and to become critical who loves to design stuff together and inmates from my the and we were designing yourself at once that were distributed open-source the open source and they have been shown on designed in this cooperation process where we had 7 and the changes as if you make our were changing here and there and some some designers leading the team it was and financed by the Bundesministerium of spin-off and end run in should let Berlin and together with an hour and nonprofit organization called be able to inspire acts as

a lot of things to consider so the
1st day and it was really about meeting the group and and understanding the needs of of our team after 7 wheelchair users that we chose them on that that came together and to to do
this and we really started from scratch so we didn't have any clue about what products would come out of this project we knew there would be a product that was our scope to design them that we had no idea what they were about and after uh and we had to stress to visualization that you saw on this the right image they
have and we came overnight
and 2 of the 4 different clusters that we saw it there's a lot of potential to ideate into these to find ideas in those clusters that was transferred and storage and especially transport because of an but because this case for example shopping history is really
difficult for 4 people and it has very often or and they have a systems that um lending at room and they have an electric wheelchair they kind of have a different speed walking next to each other are very ever and related to this was the topic of human interaction and how to bring people on level when 1 is sitting in a wheelchair and the other 1 is standing on the chair and how all um and yet the 2nd topic or Linus where there and particular HIV working with some really bad weather conditions like signal in the winter um and also connected to this was the topic of nite lighting being seen and seen in the darkness the
M. and with these topics we we went and to the make found in 2016 and we invited some more people to to the to the to our tables and and we provided them with materials and paper and pencil and became really wild and prototyping and eating so this

this Pakistan was just about finding as many solutions as possible for the needs that we have discovered before and um SEC here we haven't just spent visualizing the was patterns we also had like these little plastic wheelchairs as at least 3 rent 3 different printed beforehand that could be equipped with the models of things that we were wishing to have been but there are a
few more so we were physically trying to make the stuff I said we were uh and imagining that could be cool with salmon yeah with found objects with and graph material and it was going really fast and for big quantity of things in the 1 on the left
plumage isn't telescope for example so 1 to the lamps that you can like extend and then your then your like there have been so this glowing object that shows gives you light from above as an example for that's a very low fidelity prototype so far have been having the possibility to have a really wide range of ideas
and from that we took its we went 1 step further we came to the 2nd phase which was making faces and and
discussion with our into 15 we decided for 3 and project that we want to take further in the 2nd phase that once and for making small changes trying to make some changes in school of transportation and lighting and we an as we had for each of these phases about women's and they always started with they always started with uh um but this a camp where the group was together for 1 or 2 days in fact led and some of us prototyping and and picking and programming
and in order to guide us what's to decide for we had these design and testing criteria of course it was really important to make something feasible we wanted to have a result that we can actually make esthetics you heard Rollins review were quite important and because a lot of stuff that permits made for people with disabilities really looks and screens out that it is
for disabilities but also because you like little bit smaller and doesn't mean that you want to have like chided style accessories and so on so it's kind of like the there's like certain market things that that really annoyed people that have to do them style was like a really important thing the impact was informed of course on time and cost for production which makes it accessible and events it's like close to feasibility as well in a way and and also we wanted to make sure that the product that we designed every and doable in all and like range of fat platform that not just in the most fancy ones so let's just fresh shares some

prototypes and so on after the

the possibility of and giving those workshops themselves they have
fight a self-explanatory and also to to and motivate people and with the gestures static groups and you have to have their own workshops and and talk to the left and right mostly new can technically like all the stuff like like it only makes sense to come together basically in a Feb bit and I could have the 2 words and have like also the knowledge and have some other people that can hold something
for a bit and so on so it's true want to encourage said blips and people would like to build something

and merge them and and now we really uh I would like to start working on a platform that brings together all sorts of needs and people in each of people's needs and and collects and needs and ideas and projects in order to have more products that can be found and distributed because there is and there's a lot of platforms around and but none really cover some specific and topic area and a concentrated way so and we would have to be really curious to or to have someone has experience from like open source software development like how 1 could do projects that are hardware-based and Lake connect them but then also split single task because I think there are so many people that would like to or have an individual was with a certain solution by like designing a case of a lake making electronics designing electronics thinking about the things and like but if we think it would be good if there's like a like a way that people don't have to physically necessarily come together what 1 can simply like sit at the computer and like give a few hours whenever 1 feels like in that time slot and then make something happen but what really knows but it's full of words for and what it's trying to solve and and also gets feedback after
also how people can use it if it if it helps them what improvements tested on so please a few free to come and
