Der Klang einer in der Nähe von Haithabu gefundenen Glocke aus dem 10. Jahrhundert ist durch Korrosion stark beeinträchtigt. Ein Nachguß soll ansatzweise Einblick in die historische Gießtechnik vermitteln. Die in der Nähe des Fundorts aufgehängte Nachbildung dürfte in ihrer Klangqualität dem Original entsprechen.
