Auf einem alten Kohlplatz im Kermeter zeigen die Köhler den Aufbau eines Kohlenmeilers, wie er bis in die 70er Jahre üblich war. Zuerst wird der Untergrund, die sog. Meilerplatte, eingeebnet und vermessen. Danach folgt der Aufbau des Rohholzkegels aus zwei Gesetzen und dem Kopf, der schließlich mit dem Meilermantel, einer Laub- und einer Erdschicht, abgedeckt wird.
In an ancient burning-place in the Kermeter charcoal-burners raise a charcoal-pile as it was used up to the seventies. First the base of the pile, the so-called sole, is levelled and measured. Then the cone-shaped stack of wood, composed of two sets and the head, is built up and covered with the jacket, a layer of leaves and a layer of earth.
