| English | English Before the dance festival the participants paint with red vegetable dye patterns on each other's face and body. Preceded by two players on bamboo clarinets, the dancers move ranged in a line one behind the other round the central place of the village. They probably represent a herd of grunting wild boars trotting along; this dance, originally a ritual hunting-dance, is nowadays performed on diverse occasions. |
