Schrittweise Erhöhung der Schnittgeschwindigkeit (0,01 - 5 m/min) beeinflußt vor allem die Aufbauschneidenbildung. Bei hohen Schnittgeschwindigkeiten übernimmt die Aufbauschneide die Funktion des Schneidkeils. Mit Zeitdehnung.
The film shows how chippings are produced from a polished and etched testing workpiece made of casehardening steel 16MnCr 5 during orthogonal cutting. The individual areas and stages of deformation during the formation of flowing chips are particularly worth watching in this markedly ferrito-perlitic structure. The effect of the cutting speed (0.01 to 5 m/min.) is shown firstly in the formation of pick-up on the cutting edge, which assumes unusual shapes particularly with large items, so that the formation of chips is also affected by the changed geometry of the cutting edges.
