Nach dem Zetteln (mit Hilfe von Zettelgatter und Haspel) und Aufziehen der Kette auf den Kettbaum sowie nach dem Schlichten der Kette beginnt der Webvorgang: Der Weber trägt den Schuß mit dem Schiffchen ein, wobei er jeden Eintrag mit dem Anschlagkamm fest an das Gewebe andrückt. Die Fachbildung erfolgt durch die Betätigung der Tritte, die mit den Schäften in Verbindung stehen. Nach Beendigung der Webarbeit wird der fertige Stoff (Leinwandbindung) vom Warenbaum abgenommen und kontrolliert.

After preparing the warp by means of the warping frame and reel the warp is fixed to the loom.
