The asexual propagation of the unicellular green algae Chlorella pyrenoidosa (Chlorococcales) is shown. In the first part of the film especially different stages of the formation and liberation of autospores ("daughter-cells") from their "mother-cell" are demonstrated. In the second part the synchronous liberation ("bursting-liberation") of the young autospores by cells of synchronous cultures are shown.
