Galvanisch aufgebrachte Metallschichten mit unterschiedlichen Schmelzpunkten (Cd, Zn, Cu) bilden Schmelzisothermen um die Schweißstelle. Querschnitte durch Elektroden und Schweißgut ermöglichen die Beobachtung von Vorgängen, die normalerweise im Innern des Schweißgutes ablaufen. Mit Zeitdehnung.
With the aid of slow-motion filming during electric spot-welding, metal coatings with various melting points which had been plated on the welding material were observed. The model used shows a cross-section through electrodes and welding material, so that procedures which normally occur internally in the welding material can be observed. The spatial melting boundary of the applied layer is the melting isotherm of the coating metal (Cu, Cd, Zn), and the observation of this during welding thus gives us the spatio-temporal temperature trend.
