Das erste und bedeutendste der alljährlichen Totengedenkfeste im Königreich Oku ist die vom Palast veranstaltete Zeremonie. Im letzten Teil der einwöchigen Veranstaltung treten die wichtigsten Militärgesellschaften auf. Zu ihnen gehört Samba, deren Kriegsmaske begleitet von der "Frau von Samba" erscheint. Anschließend führen Medizinmänner öffentlich das Medizinritual "Kefuh Samba" durch.
